Beep test

For fitness we did the beep test again. I actually kinda wanted to do the hill run but that's ok. The beep test was fine I beat my score from last time by .4 so that was good. I wasn't expecting my fitness to be way better because it's only been a month but what's important is that I'm improving. Here are my scores:

This is me proving that I got a 5 by showing that I cal touch the wall with my full hands. I'm flexible because I'm pretty hyper mobile.

These are pictures of when I started the plank and when I finished. In the first picture it says 14:58 and in the second it says 13:40 so that shows that I did plank for a minute and 18 seconds

Interim report

     We aren't that far into the year yet but I think I have been doing well so far. Honestly I do try to bring the same level of energy as last year but it could use some work. Last year's class was different so now we're kinda just figuring out what this new class needs to be successful and so we could all help each other do better. I think I still do bring energy to the class but it is something I know I want to get better at. I try hard during class and I also try to stay fit when we aren't in school. At home I eat healthy but I love chocolate and sweet stuff but not candy so I don't always eat healthy I eat chocolate too because I think it's bad to deprive yourself. So far I think I deserve a G.

Loco Motion

     On Tuesday we did the Loco Motion for fitness. It was OK. I felt like shiho and I were the only ones who were trying. A lot of people would sit down or go outside for a few minutes or push themselves too hard that they can't go through the whole minute or the whole 30 seconds. We pushed ourselves the whole minute/30 seconds and even now, two days later, my legs are still sore. Going up the stairs and even going to the bathroom kills my legs!

Capture the flag

For PE we had choice outside. There were three choices but everyone decided to play capture the flag. The game was OK but I didn't think the teams were slit equally. All the black shirts were on one team and everything else was on the other team. I was wearing a dark blue shirt but I was able to sneak onto the other team. I honestly didn't think that was a very good idea because even though we had all of the fit people on our team, the most fit people can't get 5 people at once, it's too tiring and we can't split up into 5 different people and chase each person individually. The game resulted in a lot of people cheating and by trying. I still had a good time though because I brought a ball back!!!

Pond run x2

    The next fitness we did was the pond run. Personally I have never really been a fan of the pond run but it was alright. Shiho and I were super tired and the whole time Mr Neuf never caught up to us except for the very last run and he did end up catching up to us but at the very last second! We ran super hard and I was really light headed and dizzy after!! Then shiho and I got switched into the other class with Yulia and we had to do the pond run again. I felt that the second time we did the pond run we were did better. We ran a bit faster and were more tired than the first time and Mr Neuf didn't pass us this time!(but he was really close) I think I work harder with Shiho and Yulia. Fitness is great

First fitness

For the very first fitness of the year, we did the beep test. I got a 9 so that's my starting point and I hope that I can keep improving throughout the year! I did 20 push-ups, plank for 1 minute and 30 seconds and my vertical was 30 or 35. I also got 12.11 on the t-test. I think I did well for the first fitness testing right after summer! I still exercises and went on runs during the summer so my fitness level never really dropped.

Final report card post

1) i think my participation was good this year. I always had gymstrip and if i didn't have something i borrowed it from someone else. I always come to class and when i missed a few days there was a reason for it. I have so much fun playing games in pe so i always participate but somethingg i have to work on is that I get annoyed really easily and i also get really competitive so i try really hard because i want to win. I think i deserve a 23/25

2)this year we had a really good class and for me it was easy to get comfortable with everyone. I showed leadership this year when there was a choice and my friends and I didnt like any of the choices, we would set up our own game. It demonstrated leadership because we had to do everything without the help of a teacher or some kind of authority so we would set up the field and make teams and rules on our own. I  like to cheer for my friends and people on my team beause it makes them happy. I also dont lie about things like fitness scores because it doesnt help me if I lie and i dont cheat during pe activities because it makes it less fun for everyone when someone doesnt play fair and at the end of whatever we did i help with small things like picking up cones or putting away balls. I think I should get 24/25

3)healthy living- since i was little ive always done different activities. For a few years i did ballet then I did gymnastics and ive always done swimming and I still do. Its really great exercise because it works out a lot of muscles like your arms,  legs and core and its really tiring and you get really hungry after you swim. I beat my high score in the beep test this year and I got a 10.8!! Last year my highest was 10. I think i have gotten more fit this year because during fitness I try really hard and it made me a lot fitter. After fitness I stretch because its good to stretch after exercise. At home, my parents are very healthy people so they always try to find ways to make meals healthier and they are really good role models because they exercise every day. I hope that I can still exercise regularly after highschool and eat well balenced diets my whole life. Its almost summer and the best fruits are starting to be in season so im starting to drink lots of smoothies.
Tgis is pasta that I made. It has salmon, broccoli, tomatoes, pepper, abd whole grain pasta!

4)i posted 27 blog posts
And i think I have a picture or video on almost all my posts. I usually take a picture of me after the workout or something related to what happened and in my posts I try to talk about how i felt during the workout, what happened, and how I felt after it. Here is an example of one of my posts from earlier on the year where I talked about these things.
It doesnt take me that long to write these but I put a lot of thought into what I post. I dont post huge paragraphs cause they get boring to read but i also dont post short one sentence things that only talk about what I did that day. I think i did pretty good at tge blogging part but I think i could have blogged more. I didnt make a post for everything we did. I think i should get a 22 or 23/25.

Thank you mr neufeld for being such a great teacher and helping us learn to be more independent and to take care of ourselves throughout the year. I hope i get to have you as a teacher again one year!!

Beep test

We did the beep test today. I always feel dizzy and like im going to puke and faint and die after the beep test.
Then i did all the other testing stuff with shiho and miki. When we were done, all the tests, shiho and I had a chance to talk to miki and she was really nice. Shes not in our band class shes in the other one so it was our first time talking to her. I hope we made her day at least a little bit better (:

For fitness we did the community run. I dont know what i got but shiho and i were some of the first ones finished! We jogged the whole way and never stopped!
In may we did the beep test for fitness. I got a 10.3 i was the last girl in our class left so i was happy. I know i pushed myself but i have gotten higher before so i was upset but its ok

April 26

Today i did the hill run because the hill that we went to last time is right beside my house. This time instead of running for 20 minutes, i ran for 31! Im actually really mad because i was gonna run longer but this guy pulls up to the side of the road and starts peeing? I just left because thats so disgusting why would he do that theres a tim hortons starbucks mcdonalds and other places like 5 minutes away and he was in a car too like did he really had to pee right where i was running? So that ruined my run but whatever i still got really tired and im proud that i did a fitnessy type activity the day after having a fitness friday.

       
                   
               
       


April 25

Yesterday was fitness friday and we went to the lower field. I thought it wouldnt be fun without yulia or nicole but i actually had a lot of fun! Isually i pace myself so i can go the whole fitness without stopping but yesterday i could try and run as fast as i could! Katherine gulshan harina and shiho ran really fast!

April 17

On april 17th we had a choice day. Shiho and i didnt like any of the choices and we knew we wouldnt have fun if we played any of them and mr neufeld showed us his tweet that said something like things turn out best for those who make the best of the way things turn out, so we went for a run because we knew we would get a better workout! Then after school i swam laps for an hour in fleetwood.

Hill run

On the 11th we did the hill run but this time it was a different place. It was really tiring and a lot harder than i expected. On the first lap i ran way too fast and got really tired but after that i slowed down to pace my self. Each lap took us about 2 minutes or a bit more and by the end we did about 8. Shiho and i decided to jog back to the school. During the run i kept telling all my friemds who were running with my and past me to smile because it tricks your body into thinking youre actually enjoying and you do better!

Speedball

This was the first day i played speedball. It was a really high intensity gane and I got super tired my legs are sore today!! Yulia and I went to the equipnent room to help mr neufeld bring the soccer balls to the field because we noticed no one else was bringing any equipment up. I think I need to work on realizing that its just a game and it doesnt matter if the team wins or loses, I should focus on how to make the class enjoyable for everyone because i get really competitive against the other team and i just want to beat the other team really badly

Friday morning zombies run


This morning Shiho and I went running again! we played zombies run. I was really happy with myself because I killed myself trying to achieve my goals from the last time I played. I ran about 1000 paces more than the last time I played and this time I ran 179 paces/min so that means I ran a little bit faster than the last time I played! What I would like to improve on is that even though I got more paces and more paces/min, I stopped running and walked a couple of times. Next time I want to run the full half hour without stopping!

Saturday afternoon run 💛

Today Shiho and I went to goldstone to play zombies run. It's an app where you run away from zombies but it's really fun and it actually has a story line. I really like it because it motivates me to run faster because i don't want to get caught by zombies. I was happy with my run today because each time I play I run a farther distance than the before! Next time I play, I'm gonna try to run a farther distance and run for a full half hour instead of 27 minutes!!

Thursday

On thursday shiho, yulia and i did some workouts to get stronger. We did a few workouts from a fitness instructor/youtuber named cassey ho. Sometimes i follow her series'. Next time I do this, I want to waste less time figuring out what exercise to do so we can do more than just do videos and I also think that we should use up more space instead of being so close together so we have more room. You can go on Shiho or Yulia's blog to see a video of us doing burpees.



(The eagle abs and the criss cross' were really hard and my stomach was sore the next day.)

Insanity

Today we had fitness and for fitness we
had insanity!! I dont know why but it seemed a lot harder than usual but maybe i just got really unfit. The next day i was really sore and in a lot of pain but i like the pain because i feel like i got something out of the workout. Next time i want to take less breaks around the end.

Today we did the beep test again. It was ok i was disappointed because last time we did the beep test I got 10.7 and this time I got 9.8 or 9.9. I don't really know what happened but I'll work really hard to get back to 10.7!

"Report Card" Post

1) Participation

I think overall I did well in participating. My friends and I always change before the bell rings so that we don't have to change when it's super crowded and if I ever forget something I make sure to borrow it from someone, and I don't know how many times I've been away, but I don't have many absences because I like P.E. so I don't really want to miss it. When it comes to participation in games, I think I do well in that, too because I get really competitive and I don't like ending class without sweating or having any fun so I try to participate in the activities to make them more enjoyable and to at least get something out of it.

2) Social Responsibility and Contribution to the Class

In my opinion, P.E. should be a class where everyone can just have fun so I like to try and make the class better for everyone. I like cheering for people because cheering for someone lifts up their spirits, makes them feel better and hopefully makes people feel more comfortable. Yesterday my friends and I wanted to play capture the flag so we asked a bunch of people if they wanted to play with us. We honestly thought it wasn't going to work out but we tried and ended up with 7 guys and 9 girls. It worked out really well and I lost my voice the next day. Shiho, Pallvi, Yulia, and Myranda made the teams while Nicole and I brought all the equipment. Afterwards, many people helped us put away the equipment and it ended up working out really well. I talked to some people about it and they had a lot of fun! I don't like to cheat when we have competitive things because I feel like I suck because I had to cheat to do well and its a lot more rewarding to fail knowing you tried that succeed knowing you didn't earn it.

3) Healthy Living 

My family has always been into healthy living so most of the time I eat healthy meals and treat myself sometimes because I think its not good to deprive yourself from things that aren't very good for you as long as you eat them in moderation because personally if I don't treat myself once in a while, I crave a lot of really bad food. For my fitness, I think I've gotten more fit since last year. I never really stopped being fit because Shiho and I used to run every morning in July and in August I had lifeguarding courses so I also stayed fit doing that. Some barriers/limitations I face in participating is that there are also some people I'm not very comfortable with yet but usually when we start doing activities I forget about that so I think it's not that big a deal. One area I definitely got stronger in was my mental stamina. At the beginning of the year I worked hard but not as much as I do now. Now, during fitness I keep trying hard until the very end even if I can't breathe after. I hope that in the future I will still be able to get daily exercise and eat healthy meals to stay fit even as I grow older.

4) Digital Portfolio and Reflective skills

Blogging has been really fun compared to doing interviews last year. I tried to post as much as I could about what we did in PE and what I did outside of school until we had the band concert and had tp miss a week of PE then I started to stop writing as frequently. Overall, I think i should get an A
