fitness

This Friday for fitness we went to the lower field and did relay sprinting things. It was pretty easy because we only sprint really hard for a short amount of time and get a long time to recover. Whenever I ended for out team we would end with about 57 seconds. I think that's pretty good because one person walked and we still weren't last. There was one guy that was so fast it was amazing. We had to get into groups of 8 and Yulia and I had to break out of our little community and join a group with some other people. We ended up being with mostly grade 9s. Even though we were in a group with some grade 9s in our class we didn't really get to know them because we were all spread out and didn't get a chance to talk to each other. I think fitness was ok. It wasn't so hard like I didn't feel like I was dying the entire time but my legs did feel wobbly towards the end

  3. Sprints (or explosive training) often seems easier than other stuff because there isn't the lactic acid build up and muscle fatigue we re used to. BUT your wobbly legs are proof that you were engaging the nervous system by exploding and resting which creates a very different kind of fatigue. Did yo notice your legs felt heavy the next day instead of "sore"? That used to happen to me all the time after power days because you are recruiting new nerves instead of more muscle fibres. This allows you muscles to contact more fibres in unison making the same size muscle more powerful. Neat huh?
