Mid Term Reflection

I think that every day I come to class prepared. I always have my gymstrip and if I don't have it I usually borrow some except for that one time I didn't have shoes and no one else has shoes because it was the day we came back from winter break. I think most of the time I mentally prepare myself for what we are going to be doing in pe whether it's fitness or a normal pe day. The day that have been a struggle are some choice games when there aren't really any choices that interest me. It's different from last year because there was a huge group of us that would do our own activities of we didn't like the choices, but now it's just Shiho, Yulia and I. I really like days when we don't have choice and we do activities with the class. Last year our class bonded over doing thigs like dodgeball in the small gym and we didn't really do that this year so we didn't really get a chance to get to know our class the same way we did last year.

The way I contribute to the class is that I usually come to class mentally prepared. When I say that I mean I come with a good attitude most of the time. Most of the time I actually try during games and activities instead of not doing anything. I also say what I feel. Last year I was told that things are usually more fun when you have a good attitude about it and I think that if you don't like something, change it so if I don't really like a fitness we're doing or if I have an idea of how we can change it, I don't keep it to myself. I really like pe a lot because it makes me like our class more because we usually have fun with them after doing thigs like capture the flag or dodgeball.

I love fitness. I like working out until I'm really sweaty and tired and getting stronger and more fit. I really enjoyed the poker fitness because I was so sore for days after but during fitness I didn't even notice how tired I felt because I was so focused on getting a good card. I also like the loco motion because I can still talk to my friends and it's really tiring and makes you sweat but I don't feel like I have to sit down because we get 30 second/1 min breaks. My least favourite fitness is when we have fitness testing because I feel like it doesn't really do much and a lot of people can just stop at 4 and just say they tried their best even though they could probably push themselves more. The pond run and the community run are ok too. Shiho and I are doing the sun run so I want to get better at running for that. I also really want to do a bunch of colour runs.

To me leadership is anything that can help improve the class. I think that if you can get the class to listen to you and run a fun activity successfully that is leadership. I also think that if you listen to help whoever is leading the class, that is leadership aswell because you are controlling yourself.

By the end of the year I want to get to know the class much more. Last ear was a really great class and now it's different people but that doesn't mean it can't be good. So far, I am proud that I have been keeping myself fit afterschool outside of pe. I have been exercising regularly and eating much healthier too! I have also been sleeping earlier so I feel muh better at school.

I think that I have been doing well in pe but I haven't really been doing well at posting in my blog as regularly as last year. I think that I should get 89%

  1. I really enjoyed your blog. You are so into fitness all the time which I find odd since everyone else hates it but it's still cool that you enjoy it so much. Can't wait to get to know you! :3

  2. I love your goal Gaby. I think it is pretty clear was your strengths are and I am excited that you are looking to impact our whole class by extending yourself to learn about our grade 9 peers. I think with the 6 classes in period 3 now we may end up doing more facility with just us, so hopefully that will help you with your goal. Blog needs a boost but hopefully your Sun Run training and your "leadership" goal will give you more to lean and share. :)
